Finished Film Poster- Dani

Here is our finished poster! We have drastically changed the style since our last draft because we felt that it looked more like the front cover of a magazine, rather than a film poster.

We flipped the view to landscape as we felt that this fitted the conventions of a film poster better and was more likely to draw attention.

I added in an award, a dolby and lottery funded logo which also reminds the reader of the film like style

I felt that the title was our best feature so i kept that, along with the image itself.

On looking at other social realism posters and films, i used a female as the 'author' of the story as this is often typical to have a female as a social realist writer.

Also, after testing numerous different coloured backgrounds, i decided that a white background looked most effective and many romantic comedys use this style.

I made sure that all of the text was justified and positioned correctly so that it looked more proffessional.

We chose the 'film 4' logo because they often produce social realist films that are screened on television rather than the big screen.

Overall i feel that our film poster is successful and looks realistic. Imogen Joyce, a student said 'that would definitley encourage me to see the film'! which is useful as she fits in with our target audience being between 16-24 and female.
